The 2026 Six “Nations”

Five wins out of fourteen matches in 2025. One win in the last eight. Those numbers alone should end the debate. And when you actually look at the wins, it gets even worse. A couple of them came against absolutely useless opposition Fiji, for God’s sake. One was a dead rubber Lions match that meant nothing. The other one everyone keeps clinging to is South Africa, which we’ve already covered, a Springbok side not tuned in, experimenting, and gifting intercepts.

So strip it back and be honest about it, who exactly have Australia beaten in 2025 that actually matters? Outside of South Africa, it’s dead rubbers and soft touches.

That’s it, this is being sold as progress or success? In what universe does that logic work?

Honestly, mate, this isn’t nuanced or debatable anymore, the record is there in black and white. There’s being blind, and then there’s full on ostrich with the head in the sand stuff.

The year is 2032 and Mark McCall is still coaching Saracens with Maro Itoje and Owen Farrell still leading the line.

Ah he’s only going upstairs. He’s be carried out of that place yet.

Meanwhile two fellas on an Irish INTERNET forum discussing rugby continue to try outlie each other

He’s finally going full time ath the DJing.

Is he not an outside half?

So the Indo do a podcast about Farrell joining saracens and its released after sarries have denied the links.

Farrell is here since 2016. It’s an awful long time in any sport. It would be nearly 15 years.

Imo they should turf out Farrell and sexton and go for Tony Brown. I’d love to see what he’d do with the team post 27.

Good to hear another journalist confirm sexton moving against Schmidt in 2019 much like o Driscoll in 2011 with kidney.

The Leinster lads love to muddle a World Cup for us.

Id be surprised if Aki isnt given the bench and allowed a final farewell on irish soil for last 10 mins or so.

Doak has to be in the matchday

Agree. Id have him or Casey actually start with JGP on the bench. One of the two needs proper blooding

A bit disrespectful to the welch to be giving Stockdale and Aki a testimonial

What’s this weekend’s schedule?

cc @FlakeAway

Jackman seems to think Farrell is desperate to keep Aki and was saying he’d heard he would start this weekend

I would’ve thought they’d give Beirne another rest.

Not as disrespectful as calling them Welch

Lads don’t understand the clause in the managers contract regarding 6 Nations games if they think they’ll use them as testimonials

Good selection, strong team but spreading the experience a bit. Would liked to see Edogbo involved and Casey get a start.

Farrell will never select a player like Stockdale though.

The Welsh will put it right up to us Friday.
