Menoncello was injured against Ireland in a warm-up game and missed the RWC. Italy had decided to replace their coach after the RWC so he was a dead duck really.
They were never getting out of the group with France and NZ.

Wales showing great never say die spirit there as you’d expect from any Warren Gatland team and they score a moral victory with two late, late tries and salvage a crucial bonus point.
Either that or the other places are not rugby country anymore
