The advanced gardening thread

Don’t cut it before a frost. And there’s a frost due tonight. With global warming I’ve seen lads around here cut their lawns on a Christmas Day.

So if it’s high then cut it but not if a frost is forecast in the foreseeable future.

Be careful cutting your hedge with frost due also.
And I had mine lined up for a trim today…

Here’s what I’d do. I’d raise the blade a notch and shave the top off the lawn today. I’d then spread a mild amount (in that I wouldn’t horse it on) of an Autumn lawnfeed (avoid if ground frost forecast) available from any outlet selling gardening shit.
Hurl cool then until this day fortnight and top the lawn off again at today’s height.

Relax for 48 hrs consuming assorted bottles. Don’t forget to draw the curtains.

When finished mowing in 2 weeks drain the petrol from the mower. Replace the engine oil next Spring when you’ll be mowing the grass Sat & Wed…

There speaks the voice of experience. What class of tomatoes are we talking about here?

It’s a hybrid banana plant

A sort of a banana and cucumber cross. Delicious I’d imagine. You’re very inventive.

How did you get it to grow that high?

Amazingly enough sunlight, heat, water and fertilizer.

Were you worried about it getting baked in the sun?

I was a bit paranoid alright.

Standard glasshouse? Once you’ve heat & sunlight job is oxo.

Polyethylene. No shortage of sun and heat so not needed really, but you can cover it with a tarp to accelerate flowering.

Put the winter garlic down this morning.
