I’d wait until after the frost now.
Thanks maestro…any point in taking them and starting them indoors?
Maybe in a greenhouse.
Personally I think the secret to getting cuttings to root is not to be moving them around. Put them in a pot somewhere outside where they don’t even need to be watered and just forget about them. You could stick them down outside anywhere now but they won’t do much until March anyway.
Selenicereus wittii a rare flowering performance outside of it’s natural rain forest.
They reckon it could be tonight. Stay tuned.

It’s just gone for it now at 2:41pm. It’s supposed to be a night bloomer so not sure what’s going on.
No just don’t go heavy on it and mulch it if possible… I’d leave it another 2 weeks tho
Did the lawn today. Didn’t intend to. Had finished picking the dog shit up and I wondered would the mower start (it had been outside all winter). Sure enough it started on the second tug. I couldn’t resist cutting the grass then. Ground was wet and there is the odd rut where the wheels spun but I have the best looking garden in the village now.
I’ve 2 bags of 0 7 30 here I. The shed and I’m thinking of spreading it on The lawns. Good or bad idea? I’ve a good ride on so I’ve no issues with havi g to cut the lawns more frequent etc
Get the good ride out of the way first
I personally think it’s a tadéén to early to put fertiliser or lawns. My rule of thumb has been to scatter the bagstuff on the lawn the day before the start of Cheltenham. You have marginally less chance of frost and there’s more warmth coming into the ground which maximises the growth.
You’ll have your work cut out after the fertiliser kicks in, wicked early growth but if you have the equipment you’ll have a smashing lawn and with the size and layout of yours it deserves it.
To summarise: Hold fire…
A1… Cheers for that
Yea, no point fertilising when there’s no growth. It’ll just wash away.
@glasagusban I think you are into growing chillies. Where do you get your seeds from?
I got an email from Mr Middleton there but it looks to be a limited enough selection.
That’s perfect as there no nitrogen in it so, it won’t drive growth.
Yes Mr Middleton had a limited selection. I ordered from Viridus Hortus on Amazon.
I booked that them off a guy on eBay in England. I’ll find a link and send it on.
Would you not grow them from the seeds in your chillis
