Too much else to reply to and I think others have covered it, Gooch is a major whinge and is overly protected. The frees he got in 09 from Lynch were farcical.

I would see Cork over running Kerry in last 15 in CP. I would see them winning a closish game with Dublin and Mayo but I really don’t know how they will do with Donegal. Kildare would stay with them physically but don’t have the forwards Donegal have.

Not sure why you have such massive reservations about Corks defense, they have a pretty dam good record. As well as that canty and noelie are in great form. The 2 Clyda players are a worry alright but I don’t expect both to play.

come on…we’ve never heard the end of the tyrone goalkeeper running into him in 2005… the only team i ever saw give punishment to the gooch was Monaghan 2 years in a row in an ireland semi final and a qualifier both in croker…crossmaglen targeted him for some attention in a club all ireland in portloaise one day too…we haven’t heard the end of that one either…teams like mayo and dublin have stood off him for years and he’s destroyed them everytime…how many soft frees has he won off the cork defence over the years especially anthony lynch ??.. even as a kerryman you’d have to admit he’s well looked after by a lot of refs…should the great talents be afforded such a luxury? thats a different argument entirely…

Anthony Lynch could never handle him in Croke Park and Corks tactics played into Kerrys hands on a few occasions there. He has got a few soft frees over the years but he has been fouled loads. All the top forwards get punishment.

You have mentioned a good few of them. The bite on the arm must take the biscuit though.

Keith Ricken is a Vincents man alright, hardly a small club though. He won a county with them and a Sigerson with CIT. He also trained Tipp minors and a couple if other teams.

His cork career is doomed due to being the coach when there was that infamous Cork-Laois minor brawl.

See above Lynch could never handle him in Croke Park (good player outside of that) What was farcial about 09 was the space Cork allowed in front of Gooch and Lynch and starting O’Connor.

I would happy enough we would trouble Corks defence enough-I would be hopeful ye will play the Clyda guys especially on the same wing. Your forwards and our backs we will see we wont get the match ups as bad as the last game Id say… As for Cany good going forward but he wouldnt mark a board. We could always bring back Tadhg for him!

Yeah right. Walsh is a hurler/athlete barely able to make contact with a football with his foot when he kicks the thing never mind being able to pass it.

Cork won a 21 AI with Walsh at CB, playing almost like a quarterback, everything hrough him and used great long kick passing from defence to launch the attacks. Seems as times now to have forgotten how to kick it alright
