his Australia were perfecting it 30 years ago with the likes of Ofahengoui, Tabua, and it was Eddie who brought like of Dan vickerman (former Captain) and Clyde rarhbone who played for boks at 20s world cup to play for Australia

He likely has some solid slagging material to throw at us from his time managing the Japanese team that did so well in the world cup which was full of foreigners.

The 5 year change will hopefully curb this shit. Itā€™s endemic in all teams bar Boks and smaller PI Nations and Eddie himself has benefitted very well from it up to now, far more than most

Irish rugby only makes a bigger joke of itself by comparing the situation of the Vunipolas or even Hartley with lads like James Lowe and Stander. The very term ā€˜Project Playerā€™ was created by the IRFU which should be to the games eternal embarrassment in Ireland.

James Lowe was an established player when he came to Ireland. The England players played all their adult rugby in England. Stander was snubbed by the Springbok system so had to go abroad to get a contact. Loweā€™s example is the most cynical

Yeah, I get that. So, are they English then? If standers recent kid, a bi-product of a mercenary move, plays for Ireland, is he Irish?

Billy Vunipola was born in Australia and moved to the UK when he was 6 as his father got a job there. Dylan Hartleys mother was English and Hartley moved to England when he was 15.
James Lowe was a professional rugby player in NZ who the IRFU offered a huge contract to so he would come to Ireland when he was 25. To try compare the situations in any way is ridiculous.

They were Welsh first, but looks like they were public-school educated in England going by the names.
