The Anti-Rugby Football Thread

some good points there but dude, why was Warren G pushed aside for Eddie O Sullivan? Warren G has led wales to grand slams and the Lions to a superb series win. We behaved like spoilt children about Drico being dropped but yet the Lions tonked the Aussies. so Warren G was right! Is it time for top brass to clear out of IRFU ? Why the sense of entitlement with rugby followers? Rugby has lost itā€™s integrity this world cup . referee chased off a pitch, hung out to dry by the authorities. One suspension for top tier teams, different for lower teams. the leinster rugby coach O Connor was hounded out like soccer thugs would do. Why do so many rugby fans dwell on Connell not getting the send off he deserved. The general theme in sport is you donā€™t get to decide how it ends. Thatā€™s sport. Why did drico pick out one player after the Pumas destroyed us. Who? the guy that plays in his old position.shoulder to shoulder my hoop !

Ewan claimed on Twitter last night that the Eire 1990 team had a pick of 3.5m people.

He must have forgotten that 14 of the 22 man squad didnā€™t come from within that 3.5m people.

Are you saying the IRFU need to regulate?

Sidney still desperate to debate things he wished people on here had said.

Warren Gatland has changed his coaching quite a bit since coaching Ireland. He didnā€™t want many assistants when he was coaching
Ireland. Eddie Oā€™Sullivan was out the door as assistant. The players who came back from the Lions tour in Australia recognised the shortcomings of the Ireland coaching staff and let the higher ups know.

He has Edwards and Co now. He learned his lesson.

Looking forward this weekend to rousing renditions of the Fields of Athenry from all the Irish knob jockeys who bought tickets to the semi finals.

Your contributions here have been desperate on multiple levels.

Have you worked out how to use the search function on your own forum yet, or are you still waiting for somebody to help you with it?

Will they not all be at the Pro 12 games fixed for the weekend?

sorry dude. but that is rose tinted bullshit. They fucked up and instead of admitting it you put some positive spin on it.typical of rugby folk.O Sullivan was whispering to the suits behind his back and got him ran .We lost a great coach who at 34 was always going to make a few mistakes but people with any vision would have allowed for that and given him the benefit. What he has achieved leaves all other irish managers in his wake. thatā€™s the bottom line. You may talk amongst the natives in Kielys and come up with whatever suitable spin but Names on the silver never lie.

why is everyone going on about eligibility of players, granny rules, citizenship or some grassroots competition between sports?

This thread is about the shiteness of rugby and the obnoxiousness of joe.ie viral video cunts who never knew what a ruck or maul was when it wasnt cool to watch rugby.

Why have the media not ran with this?

Theyā€™d have no problem doing it if it was a soccer player of GAA player involved.

Ewan rattled the fuck out of Joe Molloy to such an extent that he wrote an article about their phone exchange on the Newstalk site.

Throw it up, god that Molloy is some moron.

Pointless exercise as its being common knowledge since Tuesday.

He was having a meltdown live on air last night.

Not really the point, if it was a soccer player of GAA player in the exact same circumstances it would have been run with it and got undue coverage, particularly when you consider the media profile he gets in the this country.

The constant harping back to Italia 90 is bizarre considering the IRFU were doing the same thing around that time, Jim Staples, Rob Saunders, Simon Geoghegan, David Curtis certainly didnā€™t come through the grassroots of the fee paying schools of socodu.

I listened to the interview. Ewanā€™s points are somewhat obscured by his barely disguised naked hatred for rugby due to the schools that play it and the editors heā€™s worked for who went to those schools. Heā€™s just another class warrior looking for an argument to fit his bitterness.

That being said, Iā€™d say heā€™s a grand man to go for a pint with. Heā€™d argue any topic for hours and youā€™d have a fine feed of pints while arguing back.
