I always thought the Pro 12 should have targeted a team in Buenos Aires. Their games would be played at decent TV hours in Europe and their away games would still be shown at decent times over there.
How are the Jaguares faring in Super Rugby?

What point are you trying to make here?
in 100 years, Australia will be all Asian, whitey will be in the minority
Very mixed. They made a decision on set up that they would play a style to most benefit the national side so they literally run the ball at all costs all the time from everywhere. Great to watch but mixed for results. I think the intent was that first few seasons would build up fitness and skills to levels required to go toe to toe with NZ across a wider base of players and next few seasons in lead in to RWC they could work on more practical approach
in 20 years Britain will be muslim
it will ya
Well South Africa and Argentina can stick to the Rugby Championship but it just doesnât make sense for them to stay in Super Rugby.
The Super 12 was popular because it was a short enough competition and was seen as the best provinces/State teams playing one another. There were games in odd time zones, but not nearly as many. There are over double the games that there were 10-15 years ago and it goes on for nearly 6 months as opposed to the former 3. The problem with it was that it was so successful that they just saw $ and looked to expand. The Aussies in particular as they didnât have a Currie Cup/NPC equivalent. Itâs now long and a confusing set up. Itâs the only sports league in the world where if you want to properly watch it, you have to build your weekend sleep around it. Itâs a nonsense that itâs easier to watch in Europe than it is in Australia/NZ.
Probably.
Iâve a mate who went to Sydney Boys High School. Itâs a free public school but was always academic and played rugby union. It produced a dozen or so Wallabies. Now itâs full of Asian kids whose parents donât want them to play field sports and theyâve dropped out of the GPS tournaments.

The high point for Australian sport was the early 2000s, they wonât get back there ever again. The NRL and AFL will continue to thrive as the competition is all internal, itâs like the GGA here. Easy for lads to switch off from the poor performances of the ROI soccer team in the mid to late 2000s and just watch a bunch of local farmers playing against each other.
Australia is finished
Local farmers play each other in junior rugby on winter Sunday afternoons.
Jesus christ lads. Just because ye knew who some good athlete was that lived up the road does not mean its not obscurity ffs.
He is an international foitballer now. And came thru a non-linear fashion.
Most likely because if his multi sport life. He has probably got ahead of âbetterâ socver only guys for this reason.
Its actually why Irish people have a unique sporting advantage that we do not exploit
On the plus side their table tennis team is unrale
Was the original argument not that you said Long came late to soccer, which he obviously didnât as he had been playing it all his life
Mid table and they draw the kind of crowds that youâd see in Nolan Park for the group stages of the National League.
Made the commitment late
Made the commitment late
Nobody bats an eyelid at Shane Long or anyone like. Long was varely playing soccer till late enough. He got a few breaks and ended up with City.
You said he rarely played soccer, which has been exposed as false, youâve since moved the goal posts of the argument.
Made the commitment late. And as i explained, soccer was on a level it was for most of us till City pucked him up.
He was just good at it
Made the commitment late.
So he wasnât rarely playing soccer up to that point?

Very poor attendances correct. Similar to the Australian teams. Another quirk of the conference system in Super rugby meant they played none of the NZ teams at home which would have been the biggest draw you would have thought.
Super rugby is a shambles as we have dicussed here a few times.
