The Anti-Rugby Football Thread

Watched a few bits. Seemed bad enough alright. The aussies had no luck at all. Looked the better side. England are still just a flat track bully.

The motto for World Rugby is Building Character since 1886.

@ChocolateMice and @dodgy_keeper absolutely filleted there. Ooooffftttt.

Sssshhhhhh

Meh

A very fair article Dan but as he touches on himself, rugby folk are as bad as anybody for being sanctimonious.

The majority of people from different main sports in Ireland are culpable of it. It’s a small country thing as it is definitely less prevalent among sports in places like England and the States. Where a more “each to their own” mentality reigns and generally makes the world a better place!

The worst thing he did with the article was to reference “smugness” and “snobbery” as traits on people who are anti-rugby. Straight off the bat there you are going to rile people up accusing them of what essentially is what the anti rugby supporters use as their modus operandi.

Isn’t that the essence of journalism these days. Create an angle to cause a stir. Whether it is something like this (OTB live had something similar this morning with Stapleton) or arguing over Ireland’s greatest sporting moment. It is all to create debate, clicks, texts, etc. Yawn

Would you live in Cork or Limerick unless you had to?

Ive never been in Limerick mate and Cark is dog rough so no

Cant blame them then, if they can drag themselves up from the slums, to avail of a better quality of life through playing rogby. No one should have to live in Limerick unless they absolutely have to. Even @ChocolateMice took flight when he got the chance.
