This is the most likely scenario.
The assassination was planned and carried out by rogue elements within the CIA who were livid at Kennedy for the Bay of Pigs fiasco where over 100 men were killed, mostly Cuban exiles, but also American airmen and CIA operatives, Kennedy refused to provide troops or air support as he had been warned by Khrushchev that the response would be a nuclear strike on the US.
Oswald was involved but was the fall guy to connect the assassination to Cuba/Russia as he was allegedly a known communist and Soviet sympathizer and had allegedly visited the Cuban and Russian embassies in Mexico City a few weeks before the assassination to receive instructions.
Elements within the CIA and some of the generals were in favor of a nuclear strike on Russia, they believed they had a big numerical advantage in intercontinental missiles (which was true in 1960-1962) and losing a few cities in the US was worth it. It’s against this backdrop that the assassination was planned and to be blamed on the Soviets, as a nuclear strike would then be justified in response to the murder of a US president.
The plan fell apart when J Edgar Hoover called LBJ the day after the assassination and told him they (the FBI) had wiretap tapes of Oswald speaking to the Cubam and Russian embassies while in Mexico City, but the problem was the voice was not Oswald, it was someone impersonating Oswald. LBJ knew at that instant that the assassination was an inside job and had to be covered up at all costs. The Soviets would also have had this information.
Some of the more obvious aspects that make the narrative of Oswald as a lone assassin ludicrous.
Oswald and his family were housed in Dallas by alleged CIA operatives Michael and Ruth Paine, Ruth Paine got him the job at the TSBD. All of the Paine family and close acquaintances were CIA, including George de Mohrenschildt who was Oswald’s minder.
Even though OSwald could have walked into any gun shop and bought any number of firearms using a fake ID, he choose to buy a mail order rifle using an identity card he conveniently carried in his wallet the day of the assassination.
The single bullet theory is a load of bollox. If you look at the Zapruder film, Kennedy is already hit in the throat when the limo exits from behind the road sign. Connolly acts normally for another few seconds before getting hit. Both Connolly and his wife testified that he was hit with a separate shot to Kennedy.
So that’s at least four shots, the first from behind that missed, the second likely from the front that hit Kennedy in the throat, the third that hit Connolly from behind and the kill shot from the front. Doctors and nurses in Dallas testified that the back of Kennedy’s head was blown out, this was the reason the body was rushed to Bethesda for the staged autopsy.
Oswald was having his lunch on the second floor when the shooting happened, there were several witnesses who came down from the sixth floor after the shots, using the only stairs down, and none of them saw him on the stairs.

That’s a great post. Easily the best I’ve seen on the topic. Articulates my own thoughts on it perfectly.
Are you a history buff or did you study history previously? I would think Allen Dulles was one of the main protagonists in organising those rogue elements in CIA.

I don’t know who Governor Connolly was but I’ve heard of Governor Connally?
My own opinion is there is no conspiracy theory.
He just got shot dead.
Very likely a clean operation went on afterwards due to how badly they protected him and to cover their own brutal incompetence which leads to lads Shouting conspiracy theory.
