Man Utd: De Gea, Jones, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Carrick, Cleverley, Young, Giggs, Welbeck, Van Persie. Subs: Anderson, Smalling, Lindegaard, Hernandez, Nani, Valencia, Buttner.[/quote]
Good chance of Kagawa leaving I’d say. In fairness he is right to leave too if players like Cleverley, Young and Giggs are considered better than him by Moyes. Rooney is a strange one in that it looked like Chelsea gave up on him.
This is Klopp’s exact quote.“Shinji Kagawa is one of the best players in the world and he now plays 20 minutes at Manchester United – on the left wing! My heart breaks. Really, I have tears in my eyes,” Klopp said. “Central midfield is Shinji’s best role. He’s an offensive midfielder with one of the best noses for goal I ever saw. But for most Japanese people it means more to play for Man United than Dortmund. We cried for 20 minutes, in each others’ arms, when he left.”
They play Palace next so should win there but then Leverkusen and City. Lose those and the pressure will start to build. He is not a big name so fans will quickly turn on him as not worthy. Parallels with Hodgson at Liverpool but Moyes is working with a much stronger squad so they won’t implode but once they lose the aura of invincibility then teams won’t be beaten before they even play them. I can’t see him lasting more than a year.
was at home for a while last week and was in London yesterday to catch up with a few people, we decided to take in a game and headed over to Upton Park on the tube to the Boleyn Ground for West Ham and stoke.
55 quid for a ticket was extortionate to begin with and there is definitly no way i could do this every week.
Upton Park is situated in a real old part of the east end on green st, huddled amougst tenement dwelings, boookies, chippers and dodgy boozers.
its a lovely ground inside and the fans were decent and very friendly seated near us, the game itself was awful, west ham are a toothless and very poor side, they need Carroll back ASAP, yesterday they had kevin Nolan and some lad called Mobido Maiga who they brought in from St. Etienne up front,Maiga is a weak player and got destroyed by Huth and Shawcross and judging by the abuse he got from those around me isnt exactly a favorite of the locals.
Stoke really controlled the game but couldnt really create anything until the 82nd minute when Jermaine Pennant stuck away a superb free kick. they are playing decent football really this season but they really need a striker and not Kenwyn Jones up front who really isnt a player at all.
Charlie Adam was the best player on the park by far, Walters did well for stoke also and Wilson played well in the middle also.
afterwards we went and drank 6 pints with the locals in The Queens pub across the road from the ground, this place is as rough as fuck filled with local partisans, id imagine its seen its fair share of action over the years .
all in all good day out, but no way in hell is it worth 55 pounds, the instensity and pace of the game was high throughout but the skill level was average, i believe these players are skillful footballers but the manner in which they play and the pace and physicality of the game in the EPL means you get fare like this
United were beyond shit today. I’m assuming Kagawa isn’t injured. If so, Moyes may as well just offload him tomorrow if he’s not capable of finding a way of playing him.
