They would hardly be bigger than 6/4 Iād say Puke.
Was thinking around the 6/4 mark myselfā¦still think they will give Galway enough of itā¦

Rushe hits out at Kilkennys dangerous tackling
By Brendan OBrien
Tuesday, July 14, 2009
DUBLIN hurler Liam Rushe has labelled some of Kilkennys tackling as ādangerousā and intimated that the All-Ireland champions are being given more leeway by referees than other sides.
It isnt the first time the physicality of Brian Codys side has been called into question but very few players, if any, have had the temerity to do so two days before meeting the Cats in competitive action.
Rushe was part of the Dublin senior side that lost out to Kilkenny by six points a fortnight ago and he will be one of seven from Anthony Dalys panel who have the chance to avenge that defeat in tomorrows provincial U21 decider.
That game will take place at Parnell Park tomorrow evening at 7.30pm and Rushe didnt hesitate when asked if the Kilkenny senior team sometimes crosses the line.
"I saw the tackles myself and they were pretty dangerous but were just going to have to deal with it. If the referees are going to let them away with it, it means we might as well do it as bad and hopefully well be let away with it as well.
āIts very frustrating when you see them let away with it and you see Kevin Flynn in our semi-final against Wexford being sent-off for a tackle that was nowhere near as bad.ā
It was no rant or whinge. Rushe is a confident, no bull kind of guy. He was just as candid about Dublins football supporters. āTheres 20,000 of them there that never kicked a football in their lives,ā he said.
Dublin won many a new admirer for their doggedness in sticking with Kilkenny in that senior final but when Rushe looks back on that game he recalls soft goals and too many mistakes. That said, he doesnt go along with the train of thought that Kilkenny were operating at half-steam.
āPeople have said that but Tommy Walsh didnt seem to be taking it easy and neither did JJ (Delaney) when he had both hands around me. I suppose they raise it a level above everyone else. Theyve brought a new intensity to it and everyones going to have to match them if they want to get close.ā
Sean Kelly on the coverage of the lower tier championships and the relegation system.
Lower tier counties let down by lack of TV coverage
By Sean Kelly
Tuesday, July 14, 2009
THE Christy Ring, Nicky Rackard and Meagher Cups were played in Croke Park on Saturday. It was a good occasion with high scoring games and a rare opportunity for many of those players to play at GAA headquarters.
But its not quite what was agreed when these competitions were introduced. The agreement then was that both the Christy Ring and Nicky Rackard cups would be played before an All-Ireland semi-final and televised live. This happened for the first couple of years but there has been a lot of chopping and changing in the arrangements since.
Playing in such a stadium, before TV cameras gave new motivation and optimism to the second and third tier counties. It has played a big part in raising the profile of the game in these areas and captured the imaginations of young hurlers in such counties.
The pity is that, playing all three finals on a Saturday in Croke Park, means that there is no crowd, no live TV and limited media interest. Quite simply there is only so much space and if there are clashes, the high profile games will always win out as was the case at the weekend.
But, the other side of the coin is that by having the finals in the middle of July rather than in the middle of August, the club championships in these counties can get underway a month earlier. Also by finishing in July, the cost of training and preparing teams is reduced accordingly. I can understand those considerations but I feel that more must be done to give the finals a higher profile. At the very least, some tweaking and arm twisting needs to be undertaken to have these games broadcast live. TV coverage of these games being played in Croke Park was an essential element of the thinking behind the competitions and that needs to be done again.
As a result of a motion passed at last Aprils Congress, Carlow will now play in the Liam MacCarthy Cup next year because of their four points win over Down last Saturday. This is a great boost to one of Irelands smallest counties who have worked so hard to improve their lot. Joining the elite in the top flight is something Carlow will relish and no doubt, prepare well for. But who is going to take the drop Wexford? Offaly? Antrim or Clare?
One county is supposed to drop down following a relegation play-off but will it happen?
I expect that there will be many twists to that tale before the All-Ireland SHC campaign of 2010 gets underway and dont be surprised if Central Council is petitioned to overturn this arrangement for the sake of the future of hurling in whatever county is due to make the dreaded drop
If the county due to make the drop shed enough tears and pull at the heart-strings of the members of Central Council, you can expect another great u-turn.

The All-Ireland hurling quarter-finals will take place on Sunday with a double header at Semple Stadium in Thurles.
The two matches are live on RT Two and RT.ie with Dublin and Limerick up first at 2pm, and Galway v Waterford at 4pm.
The relegation semi-finals in hurling have been fixed for Saturday with Antrim playing Offaly at Parnell Park from 3pm, while Wexford meet Clare at 5pm in Portlaoise.

If Limerick and Waterford win (Waterford Provincial Runners Up) the semi finals are Kilkenny v Waterford and Tipperary v Limerick
If Limerick and Galway win (Both Provincial Runners Up eliminated Galway previously played Kilkenny) the semi finals are Kilkenny v Limerick and Tipperary v Galway

Are you making this up or is it real?
Sure thereās no point us even beating Dublin so because Galway will definitely beat Waterford.
