The biggest mullocker of the last 25 years

I think youā€™ve really got to have that certain je ne sais quoi of awkward looking to be a true mullocker. Most of them just donā€™t have it.

Can someone thatā€™s scored a sideline cut in an all Ireland final be considered a mullocker.

Biggest mullocker as in the least skill or best mullocker as in the most effective player while being a mullocker?

Prendergast was the first that came to mind.

Donie Oā€™Connell was the king of the mullockers

The Brick Walsh surely deserves a mention

the brick made it look cool. A mullocker has to look like a mullocker

He was a centre forward of the times, Brendan Lynskey was another one.

:joy: fact. He was hardly even in mullocker class. He looked 50 years of age too

Ah shtap

Ollie Baker is an interesting one. In 95 he most certainly was a pure mullocker but he developed hugely in the years after and in 97/98/99 he was hurling lads up a stick.

Mick Fennelly was something similar, looked well short of what was needed in 2008/2009 when he was first coming on the scene then he just developed into a beast

:joy: didnā€™t take long for someone to bite in defense of Donkey Hayes.

Banger was some mullocker lads. You could bate hurleys off him all day and heā€™d still put the paw up and handpass it.

Jim Bob was another one who was a good mullocker, won a rake of dirty ball and then just shoveled it off.

Owen Oā€™Neill Limerick. Iā€™d say he kicked more scores than he pucked.

Himself and Tobin gave an exhibition of ā€œawkward bastardyā€ below in PUC in 96. 3 goals between them, all after a good old fashioned tussle under a high ball, Tobin swang a Hurley at one while lying on the ground after a tussle with the full back and it flew in. Then Tobin caught a great ball and kicked it past the keeper, before Oā€™Neill ran onto a break from another Tobin tussle and pulled on the ground into the net

He scored two against Tipp afterwards Iā€™m nearly sure he kicked one of them

I was a big fan of him. Always gave everything, savage heart but very limited.

Seanie Oā€™Connor was another fucking head case we had in the last 25 years.
