It’s a mullockers thread mate, not one for the a fella with wrists the Donie
The fact that Ryan O’Dwyer was a so called modern day mullocker cannot be forgotten.
The likes of Regan were trained by Christian Brothers to hip & whip so I’d forgive the poor cunt.
ROD was a mullockers mullocker and must win here. Plus, he rarely left a field of play without blood flowing from somewhere.
Go back and watch Kilkenny V Galway from 2009 and tell me I’m wrong. He was subbed very early in the second half after he was out mullocked by Andy Smith
I knew well pal… It was just a good opportunity to remind you how he walked all over you lot.
He was an awful mullocker when he first came on the scene, but he improved his game a savage amount as he got older. He was a very good hurler by the end, as well as a beast obviously.
Seanie played a bit of junior soccer in the winter to stay fit. I don’t think his pain receptors were functioning. You couldn’t get to the end of him.
Thoroughly nice fella
Micheal Webster was an awful mullocker
John Power from Kilkenny was very agricultural
I have a vague recollection of Begley playing in the full back line when he first came on the scene
James Woodlock
There was a good chance lads who started without a helmet or took it off were game for a mullock
He played there a few time’s alright I think, but he was a FF before he left 21s. He was a better footballer than hurler at 21s. Only really kicked on as a hurler when he gave up the football
He was certainly a slow burner, spent 4 years on the panel before really breaking through . Granted there was a spell of injury in 2008 that contributed to that.
Yeah, I’m curious enough to have a look back to see what stage of development he was around 2009 but genuinely I could really only ever see the line of similarities with Baker being limited to that they have both managed Offaly.
Begs was more of a horse of a man than a mullocker. Like ollie Baker
Horses of men could be a separate topic
Wayne Mac was a great auld mullocker (though he scored as good a goal as you’d ever see one day) as was Clementine Smith.
Smith was only a timber merchant imo
Alan Browne was a bit of a mullicker as well, strong as a horse and awkward with it, as a young fella he used to hop solo the ball with lads bouncing off him
He ran a good dingy pub, to be fair to him
Mark Landers
He was more just shit than a mullocker
