What do you think is the best bread? I’m a Brennan’s man myself. I think it’s the freshest and tastiest, a doughy delight…

Deffo Brennans. The ultimate bread to accompany a fry-up.
I’m pretty sure it used to be taller, thinner slices though. These days the slices seem a bit small and a teeny bit thicker.

Irish Pride Big Toast wholemeal bread is yer only man

I’m not much of a sliced pan man. If I do go sliced pan it’ll be brown and then it’ll be whatever’s available in the half loaf usually. I’d look out for Brennans generally.

Like my Superquinn breads or anything with a bit of grains or seeds going on in it.

Some supermarkets have onion bread, it sounds rotten but it’s gorgeous except it’d blow the hole clean off you an hour later. It’s king of like a roll in the shape of an oval and you have to slice it yourself. I’d imagine it couldn’t be too good for you though.

Brennans catering pan. We used to nick them from 911 in UCD at 5am after nights out in town. Good times.

Surprised Brennans is so popular, their white loaf is okay but their brown is rotten in my opinion. The white seems to stay fresh forever and the brown seems to harden and go stale as soon as it’s opened.

Avoca value all the way for me.

dont eat sliced pans either if i can help it, Superquin do a tidy little brown nutty wholegrain loaf that i would eat all day.
it is unreal

Going to cook some chicken to put in a sandwich for lunch now, but I think I’ll go around to the shops and get a roll instead of the oul sliced sambo.

McCambridges

McCambridges brown cake I assume, one of the driest breads around. You’d need a barrel of tea when eating that stuff.

It’s the perfect accompaniment for a bowl of soup.

Sean’s Brown HBV
A great bread
Superquinn do excellent bread in general
Its a pleasure to go in on a Sunday morning to get fresh baked bread and a paper knowing that a few satisfying hours are ahead of you

Jaysus I find myself in agreement with Jugs!

There is bread available at home from a bakery in Donegal, or maybe Longford, called Gallaghers.

Fucking beautiful stuff.

In Dublin I am a Brennans man.

The Cuisine De France make at home job is worth a mention as well. Handy to have if you are too lazy to go out for some fresh bread.

I love the smell of fresh bread you get from Superquinns. I’d be tempted to shop there just for that caveat.

There is this large white circular sliced bread that used to be available in Kilkenny. Think it was Molloys. Then it disappeared from Kilkenny and one day walking through the Dunnes on Patrick St in Cork I found it again. I jumped up and down with excitement in the aisle.
Must have looked a bit strange. Might just be available in Dunnes. Might just be available in Dunnes in Cork but if you get a chance try it. Me loves it.

So obviouly I voted other!

Snap!
