Condolences mouse. That was a very well written tribute to the man and he came across as a very genuine sort. Those two days will have meant a lot to him and will mean a lot more to you with the passing of time.

Now I know what Orchard Thieves is in Spanish. Sounds better.
You’re sojourn in Spain reminds me of bits of that movie Elizabethtown. Roadtripy, finding yourself, discovering deeper meanings and death of a hero in your life. Probably best part of the movie was the Lynard Skynard freebird riff which was to, in my mind, symbolise cathartsis and making your peace with loss. I hope you’re getting some of that too. Let us know how you’re getting on or how the rest of your journey pans out. Mind yourself.

Those that have gone before me will know what i mean but i almost feel like I’m now fully human.

I’ve been pinting with his friends here, all in their 60s, 70s,80s and having great craic but i feel like I’m their equal insofar as they have all experienced plenty of loss and now so have i.

The core of his friends here are Irish/Scottish
We’re a great bunch of lads when it comes to death.

But I’m in for a serious crash when i get home
. It’s been racing nonstop since i got here, I’ve no had time to fully process everything.

I will add that the fucker was knocking a 35 year old before everything went south
 Aboy the kid.
