One of my teammates for the last decade or so passed away last night after battling this for the past few years. A gent of a man from a great family. Himself and his father and the welcome they extended to me when I started hurling up here in 2015 is the reason I am still involved today.

Late 30s, one small kid same age as my youngest. Just looking back through messages, he told us that his prognosis was terminal, 12 months to live - the message was the 24th of August 2024.

As clean a hurler as you would find and as honest a man as you could meet off the pitch. Bed of heaven, Tony.
