The Celebrity Spotting Thread Part Twee (or help Flatty identify the celeb he just spotted) (Part 1)
One of the English rugby team fell flat on his face exiting the team bus outside the Conrad Hotel this morning.
Iâve more respect for the board and in particular the integrity of this great thread to consider logging it for consideration.
I simply post it here as a comparator.
I know we have struggled for spots in the pandemic but we havenât sunk this low yet. Not spots.
Fintan could have been Taoiseach.
Whatever about the other two, a brave move to lead with some rubby also rans.
It set the tone alright.
I have a story of nearly running over Rob Heffernan but I canât log it on this thread. Very frustrating.
Instead he walked all over you?
He was running at the time (no change there)
Please expound.
Well itâs your thread so I will.
Who: RTĂ athletics commentator Rob Heffernan.
When: Monday morning last.
Where: On the way to the Marina, Cork.
Why: Great place for a family stroll and the coffee is decent.
What happened: I was driving with my family down the Centre Park Road towards the Marina. At where the junction over to the Monaghan Road is (entrance to the Marquee) down towards the river there is a straight stretch of road. A Cycle lane is on the approach and I could see three runners coming against me, two in the cycle lane and one on the road. It was Rob Heffernan on the road. I was pissed off enough that they were running contra to traffic on the bike lane but her comes Robbie big balls on the car lane. I didnât give an inch and didnât pull out to give him room. I didnât speed up as that would look bad if it ever went to court. Heffernan jumped back into the bike lane at the very last second, this time cheating death like he had cheated so many other ways in the past.
Donât let it get to you
The way you described that it was almost like being there. Sigh.
He was the same under the high ball.
No.
Thanks mate, I greatly enjoyed reading that.
Live Spot: Virgin Media Sport presenter and housewivesâ favourite, Tommy Martin, toiling down St Anneâs Park main avenue. Dressed in running attire and sweating profusely. Presumably aiming to be home and showered before Celtic-Huns at midday.
