The Cheltenham Festival 2014

Nah, being serious I fancy Captain Chris myself, certainly think he’s the value in the race. Don’t believe Bailey Green is up to winning a Queen Mother. SDG will be very hard bet I reckon
It’s a very open race now. Can we all agree Annie Power is a certainty to beat Big Bucks?

I like the romford pele in the novice handicap
Harbour Court for the foxhunters
Big Shu for the cross country, cant see that beat

no clear view yet on the handicaps…too early still to comprehend market

yes, I think she will also beat Rule the world on sft, but I have a sneaky feeling she will turn up in the mares race?

I have a feeling un beau matin (Elliot horse in coral) is very well handicapped

She has a setback every year so don’t put any pass on that.

I’ll trust you on nothing :stuck_out_tongue: we’ll see come this day fortnight. Oscar Whisky is the classiest horse in the field in my view and his jumping has improved with each run. He’ll improve for a bigger field too. For what its worth I think Sizing Gold will also outrun his current price.

Think I posted it up already. Got no credit for his run behind Vatour. Had a very decent bumper run behind Wicklow Brave. He’s the typical underrated horse with an unfashionable trainer who’s overpriced based on how good he is.

On your first point, how could be outpaced when he won going away? And how can you say he is not the same horse this year after he hosed up in the Lexus? If you’re going to harp on about that 2m7f race in Newbury then don’t bother!

the lexus form is brutal, he ran a stone below his best that day, a glorified handicap. Dreadful race. IN GC he was cleary outpaced, he fell off the leading 2 turning in, SDC didn’t get home, he outstayed him, pretty simple. You haven’t watched it again? Bobsworth has no form this season at GC level. I think he’s not the same animal but his previous che record has him fav. Don’t think he will retain and easy to take on in my view

lyreen legend goes for GC…could be nice EW bet, has been held up this season and we’ve not seen the best of him

I’m not going through all this again like Fenway did with you but his best form is reserved for Cheltenham in March as has been proven in each of the last 3 seasons. Ruling him out based on the Lexus run is completely bizarre. On that basis you could poke all sorts of holes in Last Installments form from the Hennessy but because of your blind love for LI you can’t be consistent on the topic.

To take a similar line of thought SC only won the King George because Cue Card didn’t get home, and according to Barry Geraghty, the fall SC took last year was because he was tired. How can you be sure SC will stay?

I’ve said above I think SC is likely winner so I don’t know where you are getting the blind love for LI rubbish?

Bobsworth had an excellent hennessy run last year, he’s shown nothing near that this term, his betfair run is still unexplained, you cant just dismiss the drop in for out of hand, there is evidence to suggest he is not the same…

SC mightn’t get home…
PADDY POWER have become the latest bookmaker attempting to entice punters to bet with them at the Cheltenham Festival, with the unveiling of their special offer for the first race of the meeting, the Sky Bet Supreme Novices’ Hurdle.

Billed as ‘the best ever Cheltenham special’, they will refund all losing win bets and the win part of each-way bets on the second, third and fourth-placed finishers in the Supreme Novices’ to a maximum stake of £50/€50.

Commenting on the special, Paddy Power said: “It’s fair to say that we’ve always led the charge with Cheltenham specials, but we wanted to freshen things up this year after a few ‘money back if [a certain horse] wins’ specials, and we’ve come up with our biggest offer yet.”

I have to say this is a fantastic special from @Captainshan and @Flano

So SC is the most likely winner and would stay it out but yet he mightn’t get home. Come on man, sort yourself out.

its not that difficult to understand, I believe he will get home, but until he actually does it how can you state it categorically? Hence might not…he hasn’t gone and done it yet around GC distance at che

The funniest comment to date is the quote you pulled from Geraghty that SC fell because he was tired but his actualu jockey on the day Ruby Walsh is on record that he was tanking and wouldn’t have swapped at that point in the race

Lump on Bobsworth @ 6/4 if your happy with the it’ll be alright on the day approach…

annie power now backed into 4/6 on PP for mares race…Quevega backers beware

Quevega 8/11 with Powers for Mares race

Annie Power backers beware

Not backed in. Only because or NRNB and she still holds an entry.

Where I have suggested having a bet on Bobsworth at 6/4? All I’m saying is that your logic in relation to the horse is wrong. I had a similar discussion with you last year about SDC and how he wouldn’t win or stay and you got all high and mighty on it then too. Unless something drastic happens, I’ll not be having another bet on the Gold Cup and will happily sit on my 50’s for Last Installment which to give you credit you flagged up for all of us. Whether you expected things to turn out as they have in the meantime is another thing though.

we’ll soon see

did it just go NRNB today?

TDB, what do you think of elliots other horse in the coral, un beau matin?
