The Cheltenham Festival 2014

I think he suggested backing it with Bet Victor or whoever was doing NR no bet at the time. He made it clear there was a possibility it wouldn’t run in the race but he couldn’t pinpoint any other value in the race.

He flagged up Pass the Hat at 14/1 today btw. So I doubt he’s too bothered.

Im off in a bit for scoops with Barney Curley and Tom Segal. Great piece here about the pointlessness of these Cheltenham preview nights but fuck their a bit of craic

You be sure to update us all tomorrow ?

I can tell you right now the guinness in the salthill hotel can be fairly hit or miss

Looks like Hinterland going for the Queen Mother. For me he has the best form of any novice in the book, QM arguably a softer option than the Arkle. Great value at 14s ew. Very average renewal

Ted veale switched to arkle, feck !
Sailors warn probably not going

Very hard to see SDG not winning ?

I am sticking with cheltenian for the county hurdle and will Prob also cover montbazon

What’s the saying? If your not at the wedding don’t go to the funeral?! Have missed this lad winning too often to back him at those ridiculous short odds. Should win based on all wev seen this season just no value left

Agreed, Prob a no bet for me

Interesting. Patrick Mullins there at the Cheltenham preview night in Galway just gave Briar Hill as his charity bet/NAP of the meeting at his current price of 3/1. @Mac was very vocal that he’d no chance when i put him up for this race so now that his price has contracted so much he must have his heart in his mouth with his reputation as a horse tipster on the line…

Paddy has been napping him all around the place. Said he’d win any of the 3 novice hurdles if he wanted to which is why I’m surprised they’d go for the AB with him as I’d class the other 2 as being more prestigious. Kings Palace will give him a run for his money and is a much better jumper. I’ll have no problem admitting I’m wrong should he win.

As an aside, young Patrick also famously declared Cousin Vinny as the next Istabraq at a couple of Cheltenham preview nights.

Anyone know who pricewise put up for the Triumph?

Actival & Rutherglen

Fairly sure the owners of Rutherglen were favouring a run in the Fred Winter due to the mark they got. Same owners as Kashmir Peak I think.

On another note, Our Conor is available at 7’s with Sean Graham today for anyone who’s that way inclined.

Willie Mullins worried that his horses will be nobbled at Cheltenham.

My Tent or Yours gone very weak on Betfair. Could be bad news about to break.

All the Graham shops are in the North aren’t they?
They don’t do online?
