Disclaimer: I don’t watch horse-racing.
I won money on Carlingford Lough a while back, backed as I have a friend from Carlingford, and also see he won a race a couple of weeks ago. Is he worth a pop at 13/2 today?
Yeah probably if you’ve backed him before. Figure out the best Irish horse and you have your winner, trouble is they’ve been beating each other all year so the form is difficult to weigh up. I went for Morning Assembly myself, the ground is a question mark but otherwise conditions are ideal.

Nothing has beaten Ballycasey and Morning Assembly has lost his regular partner as well as being on gnd which is probably too quick

Fahy maintained last year that MA was a better horse on good ground. Won races last year without Ruby on board too.

Favourites rarely win the RSA.

Morning Assembly beat him at Punchestown in May

in a fucking hurdle race!

WPM has won it 3 times, twice as fav

1.30 Creepy 1pt e/w
2.05 Ballycasey 2pt win
2.40 Bayan 2pt win
3.20 Sizing Europe 2pt win
4.00 Star Neuville 2pt win
4.40 Ivan Gozny 2pt win
5.15 Shaneshill 2pt win

I have all the above in various lucky 15’s. I will be having a proper bet on Bayan and Shaneshill. If the Bayan bet goes well I may reinvest some of my profits, if it goes badly I’ll chase my losses like the degenerate I am.

3 favourites have won it in the last 13 years. How many times has he lost it when he had a horse favourite?

Mac has a fair point here. Asking a horse to cope with the pressures of favourtism is a big ask. Best thing they can do is stay away from the papers today and just concentrate on running their own race.

will you go do a bit of research yourself you lazy bastard

So you don’t know then?

well im sure if the trainer’s wife dies you will be first on here with your gossip you horrible bastard

of course I do, its right here in my spread sheet. FFS

Well tell me then so I don’t have to go looking. Its an honest question.

I already have, Ballycasey

What question did you think I asked?

I wonder did Willie Mullins’s “mare” end up enjoying the rest of her day yesterday?

:D:D
the bitter poison is already starting to spew here. no funnier sight then fellas down money and scrambling and still 3 days left, associating human like characteristics to horses is a sure sign a fella is rattled and sore
