The Cheltenham NH Festival 2013
Anyone done the maths on the HF offer PP are doing?

I make it circa 12% guaranteed. Or 36%/money back if you go all in on the Fly to win. What are the feelings on the fly?
I had it 18% / money back on full field last week. Don’t fancy him myself and prefer Zarkandar buit his price has gone short now.

Just purchased my ticket there for Wednesdays racing. Looking forward to it now despite my severe lack of racing knowledge.

if you can manage to find TTK or mac and stay in their company you will appear like a sage in the land of sorrows , enjoy the day, stay out of the bars and you’ll have a fantastic time. I’d suggest going down and standing opposite the last for the queen mum and arkle and you will get and appreciation for the speed and dangers at that level of racing, incredible

Off to bed soon. Flying early in the morning. Staying in Broadway just in case anyone happens to be up that way. Can’t wait.

Yeah, as KC says, stand by the last on Wednesday for the Arkle

Cheers KC. I’ll have a good time anyway!

Are there any prices for the number of horses that will be killed this week?

In the supreme, the last remaining doubt re MTOY has been removed in my mind, i.e. quick gnd
He’ll win now and might even look value after the race
I backed Pious Souz AP but his chance would appear to have gone with the rain
Champagne Fever is my other interest but way too skimy now @6/1
Fav is probably value
Couldnt have Jedski

The arkle, Simonsig, take the 1/1 in Laddies (20) and load up if you can get 4/5 tomorrow

Boring so far. It gets worse for me. my other big AP plunge was Grandoeut, but its doubtful he’s straight
If the market turned for him, i would stay put, but the champ is the one to the on now @ 5/1

In the cross country, i am going to stick a few pund ew on Boston Angel, nice weight swing with Outlaw Pete…just an interest…not massive fancy

In the final race, carlito brigante (137) is exceptionally well treated compared to his hurdle rating, but one that could be even better treated is the druids nephew. His last run was partuculary eye catching and his jumping (left) will be even more suite to CHE, ran well in albert bartlett last year, won P2P on soft and will get home ew @ 8s…dont rule out carlito

Answers on a postcard to Silvercrest Foods.

Hmm, in the last, i keep getting drawn back to Forgotten Gold @ 20s also…perhaps try him and the druids nephew…gnd might not totally suit Carlito…good luck

Would suggest TTK is probaly correct in his JLT selection, Our Mick

Some bets I will have tomorrow

Puffin Billy e/w
Cloudy too e/w
midnight chase
The Druids Nephew e/w

Couple of things for today. Firstly if you’re backing in the supreme do so with Hills, they’re paying on first 5 in a 12 horse race with 2 no hopers. Make sure to back in Champion Hurdle with Powers.

Supreme - Cause of Causes & Cheltenian ew with Hills
Agile - no bet yet
JLT - Loch Ba
Champion - Countrywide Flame ew with Powers
Cross Country - Leac an Scail
Mares - no bet yet
Last race - no bet yet

Fiveforthree in the Coral Cup looks a savage bet too.

My selections for today
1.30 Cheltenian ew 25/1
2.05 Overturn 9/2 (very hard to see past Simonsig however)
2.40 Fruity O Rooney ew 11/1
3.20 Grandouet 8/1 (tentatively)
4.00 Any Currency 12/1

Double - Simonsig & Quevega - paying about 6/4

The 9/4 odd available on Hurricane Fly seems very generous to me. I have availed.

I’ve also gone for:
13.30 Champange Fever 13/2
16.00 Bostons Angel 15/2

I’ll be having a few more as it happens.
I’ve couple of small money accums on aswell. The main one being Simonsig, Fly, Quevaga pays 7/1

I will be backing the following horses at Cheltenham today and expect a very healthy profit in return:cool:

1.30 Jezki 11/2
2.05 Simonsig
2.40 Loch Ba 12/1
3.20 Hurricane Fly 9/4 (Banker)
4.00 Bostons Angel 8/1
4.40 Une Artiste 6/1 (NB)
5.15 Colour Squadarn 13/2 (NAP)

In other news Dynaste confirmed for Jewson, Balthazar misses crosscountry, Melodic Rendevous misses Supreme and First Leitenant goes for the Ryanair.

I see the Binocular fan(apologist) club here appears to have been disbanded this year. Hang yer heads Puke, KC, Mac etc

A few outrageous accums as well.
