"you have to kill me before I die.”
Could be a James Bond film

That tale warmed my heart.
There is a pattern emerging here though.
Sergei Bubkass more like !
The mart seems to be a savage dangerous place altogether
Ennis is actually the safest mart in the country now. They don’t allow anyone walk around the pens anymore and there are overhead walkways everywhere. It took a number of incidents to get there sadly.
Imagine what could have been for Phillip, you knew with the potential he had that he’d probably be site lead by now.
Them Garrihys sisters get some doing on tattle, fucking apes, they aren’t ever real clare roasters, they were born in Dublin
he could have been the head administrator
What was Philips surname?
Hartnett
I was thinking Hartery. Thanks for that. It was tragic what happened that lad.
You have to love corporate speak “in order to support increased market demand and employee flexibility”.
I’d say there are lads crying out for the Sunday 8 to 8 shift and threatening to quit if they don’t bring it about
12-hour weekend shifts
I hope we don’t have any clubmen working there.
I was talking to a lad at wedding recently who does something similar, 2 x 12 hour shifts Saturday and Sunday and that’s it, get’s paid a full weeks wages. He loves it. 5 days off. But you’d miss out on some amount of life. He was a fucking odd ball so it was unsurprising it didn’t affect him really
Depending on what stage of your life you’re at, I guess it could be appealing. Obviously working only 2 days out of 7 (even for 12 hours) sounds very appealing. But only if the money you’re getting allows you to do the things that you actually like doing.
I would hate it, personally.
We had a few hurlers doing 12-hour shifts inside in Vistakon and even after one shift, they’d be fucked. Not ideal for sport, even at a lower level.
You see a lot of couples doing it as there’s no childcare costs involved.I know one lad who works Fri Sat Sun night. He loves it,golfs all week after dropping the kids to school.
Sure most Clare people are born in Limerick. But we don’t need to delve into that.
Is this a big thing?
Some lads lose their minds over it, probably best not to bring it up this week.
What was I thinking.
