Nothing, just a man getting his shoes shined. All above board.
It’s weirdly common still in the US. Every major airport for example would have it, one in each terminal. I was even in office buildings and they had it front of the building.
Old.habits die hard I suppose.

Great one in Grand Central station. Albeit, as an Irishman who overthinks stuff you feel slightly uncomfortable if it happens to be an African American shining your shoes and are glad when the episode is over and over tip to salve your own feelings of uncertainty about whether you should have really got your shoes shined by a black man.

Shur the Irish in America were the real slaves according to Mick from Southie in his Celtics jersey.
