The Corruption Thread

The response from the Donegal/Mayo/Limerick (and more counties to be added) impacted owners is that the approved scheme has been deemed inadequate by a range of different experts. They flagged this to Darragh O’Brien before he forced through this legislation uding the Govt majority.

DOB is also trying to pass off 80% redress as 100%.

Finally they are not approving applicants to the scheme. Only 14 have been approved in the last few years. DOB could have had engineers out approving outer leaf and foundation work to be started as soon as possible. This would prevent complete rebuilds and would have saved the State a couple of billion.

The apartments I’m on about.

Well if concrete is the issue it’s the quarry, not the builder, at fault.

are the builders not supposed to take test cubes?

Some of the Donegal mansion dwellers were even on here boasting about having a cheap survey done before they bought :person_shrugging:

:weary:

Not sure. Dont think that was the case with the houses built during the Celtic Tiger anyhow, but I stand be corrected on that.

Not surprising to see two Tories like you and TSG trying to make fun of homeowners that were fucked over.

The engineers report cost almost €500 and the Engineer advised there was no evidence of Mica be said a test for €10,000 would be the only way to outright confirm this.

The money will be allocated to the management companies of the complexes. Many of the original builders had their own in house management company which then changed as the developers folded. The likes of Aramark would manage a lot of these places now so they’ll likely have to go through some sort of tendering process to get someone to sort all this shit out

The quarries involved should be seized and the owners houses bulldozed.

We need to stop trick acting on cunt acting.

huh, i welcomed 5bn of taxpayers money being spent to repair apartments

You welcome apartment management companies being awarded 100% redress but uou baulk when home owners outside of Dublin rightly protest inadequate legislation that claims to award 100% redress when it is actually more like 80%.

A Thatcherite-Tory to your fingertips!

i dont think we should be giving 100% redress to build mansions in donegal when there are homeless people in Dublin

But you’re ok with giving 100% to the owners of dwellings in Dublin that cost more than the home in Donegal? The average size house up here is a three bed semi detached by the way.

Next time you’re on a jaunt to support your beloved Celtic maje sure and tell all and sundry about your feelings towards the home owners in Donegal.

You fucking Tory hypocritice.

i think building homes for the homeless trumps building mansions for millionaires in Donegal

Aside from the fact that you’re misrepresenting the wealth of the average home owner impacted in Donegal … why do you welcome 100% redress to build apartments for millionaires in Dublin?

Priory Hall apartments cost considerably more than my house in Letterkenny.

You have an island in yours though
