the gobshite would have made 44k if he kept his shares. he only made 11k by shorting.

Poor fucker was desperate. I wonder how many reports of suspicious activity have been raised by Davy. I can just imagine corporate enforcement handing themselves massive bonuses for their first conviction. Embarrassing all round.

Calls recorded the employee had little choice considering yer man basically confessed live on the line …yer man was small beans alright in fairness but he was guilty as fuck

You’d want to be political to serve as an exec there now, let alone on the Board.

There os something fishy about who is getting these contracts to house asylum seekers. Same as during covid you have shitsters taking advantage of public money allocated for an emergency

There is definitely a problem there.

The likes of Aramark are a soulless company making money off the situation for years. But they knew how to meet minimum standards and at least had some acumen in the area, though they cut every corner possible.

On the other hand you have the opportunistic individuals with a bit of money who are equally greedy and probably don’t have the structure behind them to provide the minimal support services.

I’m sure there are some good providers of accommodation out there but not many I’d expect.

I agree with you on all points above, there is certainly good providers who are following correct procedures and not taking the mickey.

On the first 2 points you always get individuals and companies taking advantage of a situation. How do we combat this? 2 years in surely there is an audit trail for the government agencies involved in awarding contracts.

I do give the government some leeway in the fact this was/is an emergency and they had to react quickly. But its not the first emergency in this dail term either. Public money was giving to sub par providers to say the least. Is there a department who is in charge of public contracts an auditing, keeping track of and awarding contracts.
