You need to be doggy wide here alright. Had a similar situation myself with Energia. Contract was up late December. Legally they have to contact you but I never was. They loaded it on Gas and Electricity in the last bill. I’m guessing their plan is that everybody knows that prices are on the up, so were hoping their increase would be put down to that.
The cunts have been ringing every day since we changed to Bord Gais. They took me for a couple of hundred I’m embarrassed to say. You need to change the day your contract is up. It’s gone that bad now. There’s some sneaky 24 month contracts out there where they can increase prices after a year, but you’re stuck in contract.

I actually pulled a fast one with Energia recently and worth keeping in mind in negotiating with them.
I switched to Electric Ireland after realising i had been out of contract with energia and had been moved to a high rate. Then the retention department from Energia rang and said he couldn’t match Electric Irelands unit rate but that he could back date my new rate with energia onto my latest bill which was about to issue so it cut the bill by €100. Eventually I agreed to stay with them so the new bill issued at the reduced amount, then I emailed them the following day and told them I was proceeding with the switch to Electric Ireland.
So basically I ended up getting €100 off my final bill with Energia.

Was talking yesterday to the Texaco man doing his fuel delivery while I was getting diesel myself. He said that diesel & petrol will be increasing again by between 5 and 8 cent on Friday. The Russians, again.
So fill up today folks.

It went up 6c wholesale yesterday morning, know someone who was after 10k litres and got caught mid price rise when negotiating, the fucking gowl

€60 to fill just over 60% of a tank. Not good. €60 wpuld have filled from bottle top with enough chamge for a jambon 12 months ago
