Depends where you live. Good state schools in the area put a significant premium on house prices as it’s entirely based on distance as the crow flies all things being equal.
State grammar schools have a significantly higher bar on the entrance exam mark needed for any children from out of area. Cue renting letterboxes etc by the sharp elbowed. It’s illegal though and can land you in serious trouble if caught.

Seems with the slow down in China construction, materials manufacturers there are looking to export what was previously targeted at domestic construction. Could be oversupply there that finds home here

Mothers Macs pub highlighted the soaring costs of their electricity bills that increased by about €3,500.
To pay for their electricity supply, Mike McMahon said he now has to sell 33 pints of Guinness a day to cover Mother Macs’ bill compared to the 5 pints a day he had to sell in 2019. Things have taken a turn for the worse.
“In 2019, my bill would have been roughly around 1400 euros. Whereas now, my latest bill was around €4,999,” he said.
