The Cure

Obviously not as good as The Prevention but still a great band. A thread to document The Cure’s finest moments and albums

I don’t believe in it. You’re only postponing the hangover

Keep it going

Disintegration is in my top ten all time albums. Great thread :+1:
Seen em twice and they are as good a live band out there too.

I saw them last year. Only got into them properly in last few years. They were unreal. Smiths voice has stayed the years.

The REM thread and Tims listening parties prompted me to start to listen to albums again rather than random songs and playlists.

Full blast dark room, headphones. Spliff mandatory. Tears have been known to drip

Amazing we all have similar tastes in music on tfk even if we all regard each other as utter cunts :+1:

Tim’s listening parties have been great over the past few months.

He’s writing a book - Closer - best final songs of albums. Another idea for a good thread.

He was the reason I grew my fringe and joined a band. We were called The Ulterior Motive!!!
That motive was to be in a band to get girls.

Saw them in Malahide Castle. Savage gig. Went for pints in the grand hotel after. They were staying there and chatted with anyone who wanted. It was surreal. Loads of 40/50 year old people in full curehead makeup slumped around the hotel.

One of my favorite songs Great video

I still play the album Smith made with Budgie from the Banshees. They called themselves The Glove. Worth a listen.
