The Daily Debate - best Irish right back of the last 25 years

Footix would like him alright

Are we accounting for Liverpool fan bias when totting up the Finnan vote?

It’s widely recognised that supporters of Liverpool Football Club are very knowledgable.

They will cast the correct vote.

Liverpool and Limerick a potent combination on TFK

Away against Russia

Finnan for me for his consistency, a tidy footballer, looked more comfortable on the ball than the others and his delivery of the ball into the area was far better than the others imo.

Dockerty is an absolutely appalling defender though.

O Shea in his prime was unreal, not fancy but steady and got the job done

I was wondering who would break first. Steve Finnan better than Denis Irwin :grin::grin:

Lads the correct answer here is Finnan. Was the best right back in the league.

As an aside, is right back play in our DNA as Irish men? We produce right backs to beat the band

Thank God for that.

Goalies and defenders.

We’re a bit stuck from there up

The correct question here is which sport?

The one that has right back as a position

We could do with one now.

Should Jeff Kenna not have made this shortlist? @Big_Dan_Campbell

You think Rafa sacrificed Finnan instead of Djimi Traore? Finnan was subbed because he was injured.
