Macklin used be hanging around with Tipp GAA players/officials a lot around 7 or 8 years ago. He’d be at fundraising dinners in New York and things. Even around 2012/2013 a lot of people knew of his links to DK and weren’t happy with him being around the scene.

Not really sure if there was a stop put to it by people high up or if Macklin just drifted away doing other things.

Himself and the current Waterford manager would be very well acquainted I understand too.
Wasn’t there some story about David Dunn former Blackburn/Brunmie midfielder and Eoin Kelly doing the rounds years ago, Macklin was the friend they had in common
