The Eamon Dunphy Thread

I don’t remember ever seeing that before. Unreal. “Where did you get these two guys?” That headbanger Alan Hunter at the end imitating a punching action at Dunphy. Brilliant.

One of my favourite Dunphy moments was from a City Champions League game a few years ago when he goes, 'Fernandinho wasn’t playing tonight and you wouldn’t have noticed, Fernando was playing tonight but you wouldn’t have noticed, Mangala wasn’t playing tonight because he’s USELESS"

It was genuine box office. No matter how dull the game you’d be glued to the analysis, in fact the duller it was the more irate you’d expect them to be! Nugent started the shift in rte and McBennett finished it off

How did she fight for them?

Would you not just leave it off?

No. I am sceptical about how she was a great woman.

I thought TFK had established Robinson as a bit of a cunt?

Hadn’t we @Spidey?

Her cash grab has sullied her legacy

I’m just surprised at Mary Robertson being compared with John Hume.

Ah go way will ya - look it up yourself.

You’re the one saying it.

Just heard a discussion on the Claire Byrne show re: foreign born players representing Ireland. Eamon described Jack Grealish as being “on the verge” of being capped for England (he has 5 caps) He also described Declan Rice as “one of the best players in the world”.

The discussion then went on to residency rule where Tony Cascarino discussed the merits of this, completely overlooking the fact that only LOI players would be eligible for us under such a rule.
