A serious revelation that mind you.

It’s sort of a major part of the job of the main news programme on the Irish national broadcaster to report on what’s happening in Ireland.

Dunphy attacked John Hume in his column for taking to Adams and McGuinness back in the day.

Fast forward 20 years and he says that the two are the finest politicians we’ve ever produced.

You’re not meant to take him seriously Ted.

On the contrary being open minded and willing to change opinions on things is an incredibly strong asset in life from what I can see.

The Dunphy De Rossa libel trial in 1997 was box office. Queues to get into court each day. In hindsight it was the beginning of the decline of print media in Ireland.

I think the success of the peace process meant he had no choice to change his opinion

But being against it is a huge negative

He was getting sued left right and centre around then

He was murdering Official Ireland in his column on a weekly basis
