Main thing here is having a socket you can plug directly into that can take the load. I had an extension lead thrun out through the letter box for a few nights and it nearly melted it.
Worth getting the proper EV charging installed, if you are on a smart meter make sure you can control the charging on an app either via the unit itself or the car so you can set it to charge overnight on the night rate.

Am reading up on Reddit etc with regards to proper wall sockets outside for the granny charging yoke
( ones recommended ref our weather and good enough to sustain safely overnight charging)
It’ll do until I get a proper one.
My connection is wiring up to the fuse board and putting extra protection there on a Hagen board ( all new to me)
Plus and industrial socket with a good weather protection ( IP is that the correct terminology?)

All the main charger models work ok. Ohme is the tidiest on the wall.
Key is to get it properly connected at the main board by an electrician who knows what they are doing. It will be the biggest electric draw in your house

I paid roughly the same with ePower who are based in Cork. Had the smaller Ohme unit installed as it fitted the space better, also need a unit which I could slot in a different cable (Type 2 to Type 1). Main thing is to get the grant for which you get 300 eur. You might get a sparkie to do it cheaper in fairness if you buy the unit yourself, they may or may not get the paperwork in for the grant.

I used Solar Hill to is install my charger and was happy with them. I went with a zappi instead of the ohme but both are good either way. Ohme is based in cork too. You will need to fill in a quick form online that they send you to start the process for the 300 grant. Then once installed you pay the 1450 and they send you the remaining paperwork to log the claim to get the 300 back which take a few weeks. Searching around most companies were around the same price. As mine was a new build we got it for 1300 as was partially wired for the charger so less work for them.

you pay your supplier, so your typical full EV will use up to 80kWh on a charge, so you just get charged for the consumption of electricity as normal. The main thing really here is to change your tariff to a nightsaver of somesort, and charge overnight and pay less per unit. So for example, my night charge at the moment is about 13c per unit, but my day charge is about 30c per unit. So to charge the car overnight will cost about €10, but to do it during the day would cost about €24.
Shop around, use the online comparison sites and see what you can get. Your car charger should also be able to work on a timer unit, so that for some, the overnight charge might have a limited time from 2am to 6am or something, so to only charge at those 4 hours you can set the timer.
