Ragnar Klavan is the new Sami Hyppia.

Sterling is a busted flush.

Poor from De Bruyne.

That was some fuck up from Liverpool

What a dreadful atmosphere.

Not a patch on the Glasgow derby today.

Oh dear. What a chance for 2-0 but Firmino’s pass was a fraction late and Lallana’s run was a fraction early.

Liverpool have defended brilliantly

It will never last

Liverpool losing the ball far too easily around midfield.

My point was that there’s a greater degree of difficulty to Chelsea’s away fixtures over the second half of the season than the first. A very relevant point.

Over the first half of their season which concluded today, the nine away games Chelsea faced (current league positions in brackets) were Swansea (20), Hull (19), Sunderland (18), Crystal Palace (17), Middlesbrough (16), Watford (12), Southampton (9), Woolwich (4) and Man City (3).

Chelsea have ten away games over the second half of the season at Liverpool (2), Tottenham (5), Man U (6), Everton (7), West Brom (8), Bournemouth (10), Burnley (11), West Ham (13), Stoke (14) and Leicester (15).

They might not necessarily lose too many of those but they will do well to confine dropped points to 5, like they did on the road over the first half of the season.

Ridiculous point.

They played 2 of the top 6 away and 3 of the top 6 at home.

The rest of the league table is like a yoyo from season to season.

There is as a big gap currently between 1st and 2nd than there is between 7th and 16th.

Chelsea have had a very fortunate fixture list over the extended Christmas period.

They have/had three games in 10 days, with two easy home games to build up to their toughest game of the three away to Tottenham, whereas Liverpool’s three came in seven days with the nominally biggest game of the three, this game against Manchester City, being followed by a tough road trip to Sunderland two days later.
