The English Premier League 2016/17™

Nice by Silva there

The Glasgow derby was like a bubble bath compared to this shitfest.

It’s all Man City now.

Another goal, please, Redmen.

De Bruyne had a good chance to shoot there and shit himself. Sterling and Silva starting to get more involved

The referee is giving everything to Manchester City.

Its not a ridiculous point. The degree of difficulty of fixtures faced and upcoming fixtures is always a relevant point in assessing league title credentials.

Woolwich were pretty similar to Chelsea in that they broadly had a lot of easy away games in first half of season and a lot of tricky road trips over the second. Woolwich first seven away league games (which yielded 5 wins and 2 draws) were at Leicester (15), Watford (12), Hull (19), Burnley (11), Sunderland (18), Man U (6) and West Ham (13). When the degree of difficulty went up in away games 8 & 9 at Everton (7) and Man City (4), Woolwich lost both.

Liverpool will be Chelsea’s closest title challengers. An advantage Liverpool have is they’ve got far more of the trickier away games out of the way already. They’ve played one more away league game than Chelsea as well over the first half of the season.

Liverpool have already travelled to Chelsea (1), Woolwich (3), Tottenham (5), Everton (7), Southampton (9), Bournemouth (10), Burnley (11), Middlesbrough (16), Crystal Palace (17) and Swansea (20).

Liverpool nine remaining away games are Man City (4), Man U (6), West Brom (8), Watford (12), West Ham (13), Stoke (14), Leicester (15), Sunderland (18) and Hull (19).

It’s a ridiculous point.

There is the same level of points separating 7th and 16th as 1st and 2nd.

Who is commentating on Bt?

Darren Fletcher with Glenn Hoddle and Steve McManaman.

Chelsea have already got their away games out of the way against all of the bottom five sides in places 16, 17, 18. 19 and 20. Chelsea now have a trickier run of 10 away league games over the second half of the season. I reckon this will yield something like 4/5 wins, 3/4 draws and 2 defeats. They’ll do very well to replicate the 7 wins and 1 draw that the 9 away games in the first half of the season yielded.

I’ve already covered this.

You are clutching at straws since Conte mugged you off.

I don’t recall you predicting a breakdown of how Chelsea’s 10 away games in the second half of the season will broadly speaking pan out.

Bottom line for Conte is he has to win the league or his owner will deem him a failure and most probably fire his 11th manager of his by then 13 year tenure.

Liverpool will win the league.

Liverpool were resolute on this New Years Eve.

Your predictions haven’t been very smart with regard Conte.

13 league games ago you wrote off as a failure, in the 13 games sense he has put Chelsea 6 year and on the verge of breaking a league record.

You lack credibility.

Yeeeessssss.

We’re going to win the league.

Underwhelming game.

Liverpool spent the second half kicking the ball away and Manchester City just passed it around and didn’t have any attempts at goal.
