Indeed, despite the cuntish looking face you want to punch he’s the best ref we’ve had in this part of the world since I started watching football critically.
Instead of waving yellow and red cards in the Saudi Arabian league, Clattenburg will be chopping off fingers for bookable offences and chopping off hands for sending off offences.
Odd that Kelly was headhunted to the mls ahead of clattenberg then isnt it

I’ve known him all my life, I played underage with him and would still consider him a mate, he’s a very good ref and stood out a mile in the LOI. Clattenberg is a bit of a step up though.

I miss the days in the 1980s when RTE showed the Football League Division1 games on Saturday when George Hamilton would always give the referees occupation . Generally a police officer , a school master or an accountant .
