The English Premier League 2016/17™

Is Pedro left footed or right footed?

Right

This really has been a game of 2 halves, Spurs are completely lifeless and devoid of ideas this half

They ran themselves into the ground with their pressing game in the first half.

They played at an incredibly high tempo in the first half with and without the ball. Their pressing and energy levels have naturally dropped off and they’ve lost control of the game. They really needed to be leading at half time to give themselves a chance to sit back and soak up second half pressure as they couldn’t maintain that first half pace (especially after a midweek CL match). But the goal against the run of play before half time was huge in the overall context of the game. It’s the Pochettino reign, and last season in particular, summed up in one game. Fast start and then fall away.

Moses will surely get MOTM

Good post, but Spurs didn’t have a particularly fast start to last season. I gave it a like anyway.

Take that, @GeoffreyBoycott.

Is it cold in Conte’s shadow?

Harry isn’t convinced of the Chelsea back three who have conceded one goal in 7 games.

Zola speaking sense.

Redknapp seething.

He only sings when they’re winning…

Redknapp is ripping.

What’s the story with Moses? Performance enhancing drugs? He’s only still there because no one else would take him. What a turnaround

A team managed by an Italian would not engage such practices .

Good man management.

Well done on your first London derby win as a Chelsea supporter. It does look like Conte will satisfy his owners minimum requirement of European Cip football after this seasons absence ended a 12 season unbroken run. Even just a third of the way through the season the top four places look nailed down already by Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Woolwich. Big game for Chelsea away to Man City next week. Their lamentable showings at Woolwich and at home to Liverpool raise serious doubts as to Chelsea capabilities of challenging for the title.

7 wins on the bounce, 19 goals scored, 1 conceded.

I fancy our chances.

No Matic for Chelsea, Cesc replaces him. Big loss

Hard to make head nor tails of City’s team, assume it is three at the back with two holding midfielders
