UCD Arts Block, seconded. Possibly the most depressing place in Dublin.
I think Alto Vetro is a decent building but if you are going to go medium rise then there’s got to be a few of them around not just one sticking out on its own imho. I would prefer progressive modernism than some of the horrible neogeorgian buildings being put up. I don’t see the point in throwing back to a defunct age. Modern buildings should be modern but the context must be right.

UCC has the nicest Campus in Ireland but loses marks for the above - the infamous Kane Building.
Incorrect. UL is far nicer.
UCC is a shit hole that could do with being burned down. A bit of flooding couldn’t even sort it out.

Arklow’s alright. They’d lovely lights over the bridge beside the Bridgewater at Christmas and the place looked resplendent. Athlone really has no redeeming features though.

They have absolutely wrecked Ireland allowing lads to put shop fronts etc on those buildings.
Look at this beautiful building on Baggot Street destroyed by a fucking Tesco Shopfront.

Obviously they can have shop fronts but they shouldn’t be allowed be so garish.
The Bank of Ireland Building is another absolute eyesore.
