Sorry, you’re correct
That’s a clamping
It was '89 where they went from 14 to 6
They did well in '02 as well when they from 4 to 8 having been in government with FF

Anyway your point is correct on causing a needless election as Albert threw a hissy fit over O Malleys evidence at the Beef Tribunal
The February '82 and November '82 elections are other instances of needless elections costing the ruling party
February '82 was the one where Bruton couldn’t get his budget through over a tax on children’s shoes
FF got in with the Gregory deal
Then there was a big surge back towards FG in the November election
FG needed that election actually for precisely the surge you mentioned.
They were then all set up from ‘82 onwards electorally but could never quite get hold of the shit show they took, though there are some exaggerations in terms of their economic policies. They did actually do quite a bit in that time.
Her behaviour has been appalling and she clearly has a sense of entitlement that deserves to be slapped down but she is being absolutely sold down the river here by her own party. They are putting their poor performance in the elections entirely on her head which is complete bullshit. Hardly anyone had heard the story 5 days ago. Simon Harris absolutely threw her under the bus in an interview yesterday which, while she deserves it, you still want to kick his sneery snivelling teeth in for being such an opportunistic fuckhead. Have we a single politician in this country not worthy of anything but utter contempt? Mairead McGuinness is one of the few I can think of.
Pearse Doherty is a great man.
Other than that - No.
Hmmm. Was he not up to some expenses shenanigans a few years ago?
Mick Wallace is sound and Peader Tóibín.
Kevin O’Keeffe
He’s worthy of pity
Sean.
Heather Humphries really sticking the knife in now in the Dail.
O’Brien?
Another one who came to grief swinging
I think Fine Gael will pick up the all important swing vote in the next election.
Eamon O Cuiv
Good one, mate.
She is getting hammered and rightly so but equally as a society people need to be called out as treating any accident like a lottery win.
Having said that I’d be in favor of a no fault compensation system for catastrophic birth incidents given the impact on lives and the fact that even if a successful claim is made it comes years later when often it is too late
He is indeed.
you have 2 years to make claims on issues of that nature. It leaves a very short window of opportunity considering the long lasting effects may to be fully felt for a while afterwards
Somewhere in the world George Hook is giving a wry little smile at that clip.
There’s a slight difference in that Maria Bailey wasn’t raped by the swing
