The Fine Gael - A Sovereign Nation Once Again

Incorrect. Neither of them pay corporation tax.

No you wouldn’t, you only pay tax on profits, wages are tax deductable.

Individuals do not pay VAT either.

Profits are due to shareholders. Shareholders are individuals, or other companies owned by individuals or funds (funds being for individuals). Everything is a collection of individuals.

This isn’t difficult.

You’re wrong

I paid €2.92 VAT on my 20 smokes this morning

So you agree individuals don’t pay CT?

Why do you agree with some taxes hitting individuals pockets and not others?

The law treats the company and the owner(s) as completely separate entities. I would have thought it’s a basic enough concept to grasp.

Seperate legal entities. Companies are collections of shares owned ultimately by people. Where do profits end up there Mike?

VAT is the exact same. Companies have to pay it over. That’s based on the sale price of the good. The sale price can vary whatever way the salesperson likes, they can eat their own margin if they want to.

And there we have it.

FG are fearful of the green wave. Having a lot of pops at us . Angry FG voters will come to us rather than sf or ff

All they need to do now is put mattresses, sheets and patients on those beds.

That’s women’s work

And sure maybe a few doctors and nurses to look after the people in them too

I don’t understand why people try to minimise the tax their companies pay so? Surely all these dodgy tax vehicles, the double Irish, the endless shelf/financial services(ahem) companies littered throughout Dublin etc have no reason to exist because @mikehunt has worked it out that corporation tax doesn’t affect anybody. Not to mention every plumber/sparky/builder/roofer in Ireland,

The only thing worse than a FG voter is an angry FG voter
