Yeah the most underachieving county is the only one which has produced an Olympic track gold medallist in the last 90 years.
As a fella once said to me, the best athletes in Kildare have 4 legs, eat grass and get the solid shite bet out of them until they’re shot.
scales
Taylor
delaney
probably the best Irish county
Dean?
They’ve seemingly made shite of the pitch on this job.
Hardly matter?
Paul fuckin McShane!
I watched a very enjoyable Ulster intermediate club hurling game today while sat in the old Nally stand. The backboard reminded me how soft iv gotten over the years. The iron dividers between the seats would cause some serious issues today considering the way the general population have let themselves balloon out of all proportion.
The game went to penalties, rather than taking them into the goal in front of the Nally it was decided that they would be taken into the goal with no stand behind it at all - modern young fellas don’t deal in nostalgia.
We did a stadium tour of fulham a couple of years ago. One side is a listed building so the turnstiles and seats cant be touched. Thin and short turnstiles which would many lad with a paunch gaining access. The seats are tiny with those metal dividers too. The directors box and changing rooms are tiny too. Deadly ground.
Some boyos.
The “Wellbeing and Shared Learning Hub” aspect doing some heavy lifting there.
A great day for the county. Unlikely to be visited by anyone from outside Down as it is not the most accessible of locations for visitors, but should meet local needs the finest. Further evidence of the major strides forward in society up here.
This is how you get grants nowadays. Any gaa club not tapping into the makey up Green grants out there for sustainability and climate action ‘plans’ need their head examined
Announcing the grant in a € sum is just divilment though
