Tullamore. Fucking stalkers!

Why not drive to Portlaoise & take the motorway right to Shannon?

M6, then cut down through Loughrea to Gort isn’t too bad.
Would be nice if the cunts would ever join the M18 to the M6 though.

There’s about 3 different ways you can go. The Nenagh way is a touch shorter. I do a lot of driving on that Portlaoise road and it isn’t great either. You could go to Roscrea either.

Yeah much of a muchness. Tullamore to Portlaoise is roughly 25 mins?

Give or take.

The standard of accomodation around the city is quite deplorable, most places are old and shit and some of stuff built during the boom must have been thrown up overnight it is so shit.

In this regard I am considering buying a house but will probably have to move out to around 20km outside the city to find something decent. Anyone got good suggestions on commuter towns?

What’s your budget and where are you working?

Mervue.

I haven’t looked into a budget yet but would hope for a newly built detached house in the 200-250k ballpark.

I will have the deposit for the mortgage whenever I go looking but I would probably need to be a year in my current job before getting approval?

Would renmore or old mervue not be a runner?
Oranmore, or knocknacarra, the far side of it is where I’d look.
If the new Road is ever built it’ll be a decent investment and we’d nearly be neighbours.

I’ve looked at places in Galway City and its suburbs, the houses in Galway are shit holes. Most of them are about 20 years old and you’d need to be dropping about 50-60k on top of what you’re paying them to bring them to an acceptable level.

Besides, I’d like a bit of open area around the house.

There’s new ones up the top end of knocknacarra look OK (from the distance)
Kinvara lovely but clarinbridge traffic not so much.
Oranmore might suit.

Is Ma’am Cross too far out?

Man

Lots lovely new developments there. Or rosmuc maybe?

6 months mate, if you’ve the deposit - 10% up to the 220k and 20% on the extra after that you’re sorted.

26k up front and the house is yours.

Factor in another 5-6k for hidden costs like legal fees etc but that should’nt worry you too much I’d imagine.

Motorway will have that problem sorted by 2018.

@Nembo_Kid Sooner rather than later there will have to be new houses built in the Galway area. You’d nearly be as well off to wait until then. I wouldnt touch some of the shite from 1998 - 2006.
