Ardrahan is a crossroads with a pub, and Craughwell isn’t much better. The coastal towns are nice, but your balls would fall off with the cold when the northerly wind starts blowing in winter. If he’s looking for a nice town with good amenities and a short spin to Mervue, Athenry is a good bet.

welcome to the inner circle of trust nembo kid. As you have already figured out most townies are limp wristed lickspittles, but i’d still consider knocknacarra possibly. You’ll pay a premium for the coast and I wouldn’t recommend more than 15 miles or so out. hows your irish fluency levels? If not too strong Athenry is as good as anywhere, claregalway and oranmore are reasonable options, if just commuter towns. Do not live in loughrea or Tuam.do you want your offspring to play football or hurling, this move essentially decides it.
