The GGA's woeful TV ratings- Why so

He has presented the numbers – you’re supplying hear say — we will have to trust the numbers and not the hear say.

He hasn’t presented all the numbers.

  1. Five.

Yes he has — you’re guessing that people have watched BBC.

I’m not guessing.

I was at home in Oireland at the weekend. All the pubs were rammed for the rugby. I was looking at t na g on Sunday and there was about 250 people at the games being shown. The gga is in serious trouble

Prove it - provide the numbers.

Not up to me, ask Julio.

You’re the one saying he is wrong, bro – of course it’s up to you. You make a claim, you back it up…

Actually, I just looked at the BBC numbers there and the figures are still way off so @Julio_Geordio is correct after all… well done, mate

What did I say that was wrong?

You’ve lost the plot mate.

Here are the numbers.
Arrrghhhh I don’t like those numbers. Add other numbers.
Okay what numbers would you like me to add.
I don’t know, the numbers, add the numbers.

The combined numbers of BBC and RTE show that the GAA is still way ahead on viewing figures - you were wrong saying Julio was flawed, he was indeed correct. Glad we cleared that up.

@Matty_Hislop is furiously typing out some more whatabouterry as we speak.

Why are you being so evasive?

If you are going to bandy about viewing figures you need to show us all the data. Not just cherry pick some to suit your agenda.

Why are you so afraid to produce the BBC figures?

agreed

It’s cute the way he cant let things go — he has to be proved right without ever proving he is right.

There was over 8,000 in Wexford Park for a game that was live on TV mate. Were you watching a rerun of a Camogie final?

There were over 20k at the camogie final. More than attended the Woman’s Rugby final which was held in this island also.

There’s been more than 1 Camogie final

The TV was on in the background for the first half of the rugby football game at the weekend, but no one was really watching it because it was such awful dirge.*

I attended the Limerick-Offaly game IN PERSON on the Sunday then at Bun Heaven Park in Tullamore. I had to catch an international business flight early on Monday morning so I haven’t caught official highlights of the other games, but I did watch a few of the clips on Youtube last night.

Maybe one of the ratings experts can provide info on any sort of weighting analysis we can add to these TV statistics as I’d hate to be misrepresented by them.

*We had BBC turned on as well.
