The GGA's woeful TV ratings- Why so

So what?

GGA football has always been way more popular than stick hurling. 8,900 watching a live game though is a complete joke.

Does these figures count the HD platform and the online base? In the past it didnt. Iā€™m sure it doesnt count those who use IPTV for their sky sports either, which these days would be considerable.

Proves that the subscription nature of the Sky TV clearly affects the audience levels.

Im looking forward to the viewing figures for the Down Armagh game

Less than 250k is my prediction

Your lack of ability to read previous posts is very impressive, though hardly surprising.

Do they count people squeezed into a front room in front of the only tv with Sky in bogland as well?

The GGA sold out its members.

I have an independent source mate. Your lack of ability to question the Gahliban is staggering

and they didnā€™t make much out of it

If Sky can do that they should be enlisted to do surveillance on ISIS .

Go ahead there buddy give us your source and precise figures.

The obvious thing to take out of this is that the public much prefers the Ulster championship to the Munster Hurling championship.

Thatā€™s not surprising. The Ulster championship is the premier provincial championship and Down v Armagh is the countryā€™s greatest sporting rivalry, whereas nobody gives a fuck about Limerick v Clare in the lesser game.

I will as soon as they are released, im just collating a few things

The fact that the GGA can actually get Sky to pay them so they can broadcast a sport nobody watches is actually impressive. Youā€™d have to give the GGA some credit for that.

What station is covering Wexford-Kilkenny this weekend?

Thatā€™s amazing figures to watch a bunch of amateurs play their hobby  I wonder what the comparable figures are for the AIL league?
