The Grand National - The Blue Riband of Horse Racing

Who’s on commentating duties @Sidney? You’d miss John Hanmer, Julian Wilson, Michael O’Hehir and the incomparable Sir Peter O’Sullevan calling them over the fences.

That beautiful spring haze is in the air at Aintree. A perfect setting for The Race.

Tiger Roll is down to 4-1 now. That’s as low a price as I can ever remember a horse in the Grand National.

What about this morning when he was 7/2

I’d even take Jim McGrath at this stage. There were actually two Jim McGraths, weren’t there? There was the Aussie commentator and an English chap who used to appear on Channel 4’s “The Morning Line”.

What a spastic they were fine there.

You’ve rumbled me there, though I don’t take 24 hour notice of betting markets.

Yep, looking for air time the dense prick.

The annual palaver of starting them commences

I really don’t get how it matters a fuck with the race 4 miles long

He’s up in the clouds now

All over Becher’s

The recent safety record gone out the window.

37 horses left as we start the second circuit. This is an incredible standard.

I think it was the horse vintage clouds brought down that broke down

History made.

Tiger Roll secures his place as one of the true greats.
