One place that I love to visit is the national stud.
Post up the annual figures there for the number of guide dogs that die in the line of duty. Here’s the most recent 12 month figures for racehorses in the UK. 202 racehorse deaths.
Horses have a better life than many humans.
That may well be the case for horses that spend their days grazing out in the meadows.
Dan made the point that horses aren’t doing what they’re meant to be doing. Neither are guide dogs.
