The Grand National - The Blue Riband of Horse Racing

Some going to kill a tonne of animal with a flat whip that’s designed not to break the horses skin.

You’re continually advocating the slaughter of animals.

You continually disassociate yourself from the consequence of achieving your goals by putting the consequence on someone else.

You want animals destroyed and the people that depend on them for their livelihoods put out of house and home.

In short, you are a dangerous cunt

One place that I love to visit is the national stud.

Post up the annual figures there for the number of guide dogs that die in the line of duty. Here’s the most recent 12 month figures for racehorses in the UK. 202 racehorse deaths.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/horse-racing/47040194#:~:text=The%20number%20of%20horse%20deaths,same%20as%20recorded%20in%202014.

Horses have a better life than many humans.

That may well be the case for horses that spend their days grazing out in the meadows.

@EstebanSexface??

Dan made the point that horses aren’t doing what they’re meant to be doing. Neither are guide dogs.

He’s deflecting and not answering my question.

@fenwaypark - what’s your tip for tomorrow’s renewal?

Looking forward to my first visit to a bookies’ shop in three years tomorrow. I’ll be the one in the mask. Especially given that I still had a faint positive on an antigen test on Monday night.

Grrrr…

The British National anthem there for the horses before throw in

It’s a pity there’s never been a horse in the Grand National called “Half The Field”.

As in “I’ve backed Half The Field”.

Splendid rendition of the National Anthem there.

What jp horse went at the first

Sam Waley-Cohen!

His last ever race!

Noble Yeats!

Poetry in motion!

And I backed him!
