Great to see Sam coming home to Carlow.

Long Run would have won another Gold Cup if anyone other than Sam Waley Cohen was on board

Can’t be too many jockeys who’ve ridden king George, gold cup and aintree grand national winners like Sam.

Sam is a close personal friend of the Cambridges by all accounts .

Noble Yeats, noble mates.

Well known. He was the man that got them back together after they split up.

Informative x2 rating

It would put a right dampener on Sam Waley Cohen’s weekend if he were to log on here and find out that @StoneCold didn’t rate him as a jockey. If only he’d forsaken building up a multi million business empire to be a professional jockey.

I never said that

From nags to riches

I’d say Rachel Blackmore is the most famous sports women in Irish sport at the moment.

Can see galvin too but it’s properly lashing down now. Not a Massive positive either.

I’ve backed an eighth of the field based on which names I like.

All one euro each way.

Mr. Incredible @11/1 - horses named Mr. have a pedigree in this race, and indeed in other big races. This deserves respect.

Two good GAA names here;
Galvin @20/1 - Davy Russell never lets me down.
Mister Coffey @40/1 - I’ve heard of Nico de Boinville so I’m on.

And of course:
Hill Sixteen @50/1.

Nico is a gent

Be fitting for Rachel or Davy to win and walk away into the sunset.

I put jockeys down mentally under the same umbrella as motorcycle road racers.

Joey Dunlop, Robert Dunlop, Philip McCallen.

Richard Dunwoody, Dean Gallagher, Graham McCourt, Neale Doughty, Robbie Supple, Lorcan Wyer, Richard Guest.

The great names of Grand National day. Names you’d mostly only hear once a year. Fucking mentalists.
