The Grand National - The Blue Riband of Horse Racing

Who looks after the retired ones?

It is obvious you can’t just stop horce racing tomorrow. Fair argument about what would be done with the horses. They are bred for human entertainment and betting

Do you think an older horse would have less or more energy than a younger horse?

Who looks after the retired 8 year olds who are found to be completely useless?

Larry Goodman.

They don’t really have any argument from what I can see. They’ll get horse racing banned. Then it’ll be drinking taking issue with. Then back to smoking and whatever else they can find.

It’s in the media know do. During Covid you couldn’t protest. This crowd were on mainstream media in the days leading up to it saying they were going to cause trouble. It wasn’t going to be peaceful.

Slaughtered or else retrained for showing it would depend on the type.

That’s a hell of a 6-star hotel!

So you have nothing but then again you strike me as type who’s happily see something banned or destroyed simply because you don’t like it.

As an example Irish dancing freaks me out and the kids dressed up in those outfits scare me but I’m not going to go around screaming that it needs to be banned.

I guess this is the way of the world nowadays or at least around here anyway.

Iv no problem with racing continuing, I just don’t like the bullshit spin put on it by some in the industry. McCoy was defending the grand national on Saturday by saying F1 racing and marathon running is dangerous as well but we don’t ban that - failing to recognise that all participants in marathons sign up to take part unlike the horses.

I don’t think McCoy Is really qualified to comment on it. It’s like asking Gary Neville two minutes before a game about the dementia caused by heading a football game.

Perhaps not, but neither is Kevin Blake judging by that nonsense argument he is making. ‘Racing must continue regardless because we have too many horses to look after’ is an awful angle to take - it’s the type of stupidity that would turn the general public against it all. Be better off holding their hands up and saying the size of the field needs to be reviewed.

Kevin Blake asked a simple question. What is the plan for the race horses. He had no answer. It wasn’t an arguement.

It’s certainly a ‘simple’ question - like a Tyrone fella making a point that we shouldn’t stop dog fighting as turning the dogs loose on the street would be worse for them.

All dead horses or just the ones from Saturday?

That’s it. The animal rising guy from last week was saying dairy farms have to go too.

Why do these people want to make animals extinct?

I don’t think that was his only argument tbf

I was born in the wrong era. I’d say the roaring 20s were tremendous fun.
